In-person Orientation

In-person Orientation

Everyone gardening or working in the Inglewood Community Garden must have attended an In-person Orientation Session and agreed to the ICG Personal Liability Waiver and Covid-19 Access Agreement whether they are renting a bed, assisting a gardener who is renting a bed or are volunteering.

Scheduled Sessions 2021

There were NO scheduled In-person Orientation dates in 2021 — all sessions were conducted by direct invitation.

  • Orientation sessions will be conducted in small groups.

  • There will be more than one facilitator on hand and as soon as enough gardeners have assembled a session will begin.

  • Each orientation session should be concluded in less than 30 minutes.

New Gardeners

Please remember that — due to our General Policies and Covid Access Protocols — you will NOT be able to access the garden to tend to your own bed until you have attended an In-person Orientation.

In the event of a “new gardener” or their “assistant gardener” missing ALL the scheduled In-person Orientation sessions…

Inform us that you have missed ALL the scheduled In-person Orientation sessions and we will MAKE arrangements for a volunteer to conduct a session during one of our regular Tuesday evening or Saturday morning Work Parties.

Please note — such arrangements must be made in advance, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should new gardeners “just turn up” on a Tuesday or Saturday and ask for an orientation.

New Volunteers

Please remember that — due to our General Policies and Covid Access Protocols — you will NOT be able to access the garden to volunteer until you have attended an In-person Orientation.

As “new volunteers” are more than likely to contact us after the scheduled sessions have already taken place we will arrange for a volunteer to conduct a session during one of our regular Tuesday evening or Saturday morning Work Parties and convey that information to them.
