Saturday Work Party

Nobody even came close to figuring out what the two images at the bottom of this post had in common so I’m not going to tell you that for the time being.

Instead I’m going to tell you about some ideas about what “might” be happening in the Garden on Saturday!

Don’t stop me if you’ve seen any of these before!

It’s “Bed Time…”

… but not for you!

Nope, its “bed time” for the 10 beds in the southernmost row of the Communal Garden.

However, just before they can be “tucked in”  (i.e. planted) … they need to be cleared, turned, sifted and raked.

Yes, I know it sounds like a lot of work … because it is a lot of work … that’s why we need help in general and your help in particular.

Fortunately, there will be some very experienced hands on site to demonstrate how to turn hard work into … well, less hard work.

IF we have Ground Cloth today we will cover more (hopefully, the rest) of the Squash Patch with it and spread mulch over it.

Which should be somewhat “lighter” work than the job above.

Also …

… you could help weed some of the planted beds in the Communal Garden.

I also hear that there may be a disturbing amount of Chickweed infesting the western half of the Pea Trellises…

Finally…
We are trying to prepare 3 beds just to the south of the Greenhouses. Bill has already churned up what will be the outdoor Tomato Trellis Bed but no doubt much remains to be done here.

Really! How any of you expect to figure out the clues for the Garden’s Treasure Hunt is beyond me.
