Take it Easy Tuesday… As well as the “routine” tasks – weeding, watering and thinning – we’d like to make a start on harvesting and sorting our garlic. Happily there will be experienced advisors guiding the process itself… Whew! (Cause it sounded ‘tricky’ in the MUN.)
Harvesting!… Particular produce will be determined on the night but … weather permitting … we will be in FULL ON Harvest Mode. Having written that, there may still be some “routine” tasks of weeding and watering.
Why is “harvesting” on Saturday a problem? For ourselves – it is not – but produce destined for our local community service partners needs a (very) cool, dry space to be stored until it can be delivered later the next week. Maintenance!… mostly manually! The universal and “routine” tasks of weeding and watering. However … fingers crossed … there may time for some “Volunteer Harvesting” as well. =:)
Harvesting… which should come as no surprise! Particular produce will be determined on the night particularly because we will have had a large volunteer party courtesy of Benevity in the Garden during the afternoon doing quite a bit of harvesting. No doubt, there will still be some “routine” weeding and watering.
