Rheum rhubabarum: who knew that Rhubarb had such a mellifluous scientific name? [… rhetorical question]
Harvesting
As it happens much Rhubarb is ready to be harvested from the planters in the Plot Rental Garden … rather than opening up a harvesting free for all … the Garden will arrange for bundles of Rheum rhababarum to be made available on a first come first served basis.
Harvesting will begin at or around 6 PM … if you like to help out or learn how to harvest Rhubarb be at the Garden by 6 PM.
Bundles
Bundles will be collected at and distributed from the Picnic Table area … if you’re not sure where that is – just look for picnic tables with rapidly disappearing bundles of Rhubarb on them, or not, as the case is sure to be.
I have it on good authority that the next Rhubarb harvest will not likely take place for 5 to 6 weeks … in advance of which we will post another Rhumba notice.
