Communal Harvest

42 days remain to log your Volunteer Hours before the October 13 deadline

As mentioned elsewhere: 42 … to start off with sounds a bit coincidental like … especially if you’ve ever done any hitchhiking through the galaxy but here you are … or there you go … anyway.

Every time I get to this part I think it could be simplified … but I have not as yet figured out how to do so without turning it into what sounds like a Beat poem with numbers.

A Communal Harvest proceeds pretty much as follows …

1. Particular produce is deemed ready for harvest

2. Designated produce is harvested

3. Harvested produce is sorted for the recipients

4. Produce is weighed and weights recorded

5. Sorted produce is delivered to recipients

Details regarding which of our community partners will be receiving produce and other information will be posted, usually in the following Monday Update. (Although come to think of it we could easily keep a running tally on the website somewhere. If anyone knew how to do that…)

This is a “Leader Led Project”, which is to say that someone resembling a “responsible party” will be on hand to advise volunteers as to which veggies will be harvested, how to weigh and record the harvest and answer any other questions the participants may have.

Any and all harvest help will not only be much appreciated but is guaranteed to add positive value to your karmic account regardless of whether or not you subscribe to such a notion.
